Kolkata: Major fire breaks out at Laketown's Mini Jaya cinema hall, 2 injured, firefighting ops underway

Kolkata/IBNS: A massive fire broke out at Mini Jaya cinema hall in Kolkata's Laketown area on Friday night, reports said.

According to reports, the fire was first noticed at around 10 pm. and the fire brigade as well as local police were called in.

As many as 15 fire tenders have rushed to the scene and the firefighting operations are currently underway.

Local authorities said that at least two persons were injured in the incident and one of them is in critical condition.

State fire and emergency services officials said that a major portion of the movie theatre had been gutted due to the massive blaze.

West Bengal Fire Minister Sujit Bose visited the scene to take stock of the situation.
