Kolkata Police serves notice to BJP leader Mukul Roy in a corruption case

Kolkata, Jul 29 (UNI) The Kolkata Police has served a notice to BJP leader Mukul Roy to quiz him on July 30 in New Delhi in connction to prevention of corruption case at Barabazar in the city.

The BJP leader, meanwhile, reportedly has moved the Delhi High Court against the summon notice, sources having knowledge on the development said today.


The city police during investigation of a cheating case at Barabazar under prevention of corruption act found Mukul Roy's name and issued notice to the BJP leader.
The notice served to Roy under Cr PC 160 said the city police would question him at his Delhi residence on July 30.


Mr Roy moved the Delhi High Court to challenge the notice in the context that he had been already prosecuted under the said case.
