Lookout notice issued for Honeypreet Insan

New Delhi, Sep 1 (IBNS): A lookout notice has been issued for Honeypreet Insan by Haryana Police on Friday, who they said is charged with conspiracy in attempting to free Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, reports said.

Honeypreet is the adopted daughter of the convicted chief, who was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment after he was found guilty of raping two of his female followers.

A similar notice has also been issued for Dera spokesperson Aditya Insan.

Both are believed to be on the run.

Aditya Insan has also been charged with inciting the mob into committing violence following Ram Rahim's sentencing.

At least 30 people died and scores sustained injuries in the violence that ensured as stations and public transports were set alight by angry supporters.

The Dera chief also broke down during the verdict and urged the judge to lighten his sentence, but was eventually granted 20 years, 10 years each for sexually exploiting two females.

In addition, the judge also ordered the dera chief to pay Rs 15 lakh compensation each to both the victims.

Meanwhile, following his arrest, murky stories of the Dera sect as slowing coming out in the public, raising questions about the sanctity of the the Dera Sacha Sauda order.
