New Delhi, Apr 18 (IBNS): Voting in 95 constituencies across 11 states and one Union Territory is underway as the second phase of Lok Sabha polls is taking place on Thursday.

However, the elections in Tripura East constituency have been deferred to Apr 23 by the Election Commission considering the poor law and order situation in the state.

Voting has been cancelled in one of the 39 Tamil Nadu seats after voters being allegedly bribed by huge amounts of cash.

The only Union Territory which went to polls on Thursday is Puducherry.

Faulty Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) have been reported in Assam, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

A violence also broke out in West Bengal's Chopra, which falls under Darjeeling Lok Sabha seat where polling is presently underway.

The first phase of the elections was held on Apr 11.

The seven-phase elections will end on May 19. Counting of votes will take place on May 23.
