Ludhiana:10 bogies of Jhelum Express derail, 3 injured

Ludhiana, Oct 4 (IBNS): Ten bogies of the Jhelum Express, which was on its way to Pune from Jammu, was derailed in Ludhiana district of Punjab, leaving at least three passengers injured on Tuesday.

The mishap reportedly occurred close to the bridge over the Sutlej river near Ladhuwal.

The injured were rushed to  Civil Hospital in Ludhiana for treatment.

Senior railway officials rushed to the spot after the  mishap.

Bogies from S-1 to S-8, B-5 and the pantry car were damaged. Rail track length of around 20 metres was also found damaged, The Tribune quoted SDM Subhash Chander.
