Maharashtra: Headmistresses booked for fraud in Thane
Thane, May 31 (UNI) Headmistresses of a school in Kalyan of the district have been booked on alleged charges of fabricating records in the fixation of salaries of the staff, police said on Friday.
The Education department had received a complaint by an MLA regarding the doubts in relation to the pay fixation by the school management.
During inspection, the auditor found that the pay fixation orders and the rubber stamps on it were not of the office of the education department and when it was pointed out to the headmistresses of both the primary and secondary sections of Model English High School of the Kalyan Welfare society, they could not give any proper explanation for the same.
An offence was registered under sections 420,464,465,468,471,473 rw 34 of the IPC has been registered against them with the Kolsewadi police station late last night, police added.
