Maharashtra: Road accident leaves 17 injured

Nashik/UNI: In Nashik 17 people were injured, 7 of them seriously when 3 trucks and 1 sedan car collided with each other at Rahud Ghat near Chandwad town of the district on Monday.

According to police sources, 3 trucks carrying migrant workers and a sedan car was travelling on Mumbai-Agra national highway.

After passing Chandwad city, a car suddenly slowed down in Rahud Ghat and collided with the truck coming from the opposite direction.

The other two trucks behind it also lost control, broke the dividers and collided with other vehicles.

In the incident, the car was badly damaged as it was crushed in between three trucks. About 17 persons were injured in the incident.

The Chandwad police rushed to the spot and the injured were moved to the rural hospital of Chandwad hospital where they are undergoing treatment.
