Mamata Banerjee condoles Sontosh Mohon Dev's death

Mumbai, Aug 2 (IBNS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday condoled the passing away of former Union Minister Sontosh Mohon Dev.

Banerjee tweeted : "Saddened at the passing of Sontosh Mohon Dev. I knew him for many,many years. My deepest condolences to his family, friends & supporters."

Congress leader Santosh Mohan Dev  died on Wednesday morning at a private hospital in Silchar following a prolonged illness.

He was 83 and is survived by  wife Bithika Dev, a former legislator and four daughters including present Congress MP Sushmita Dev.
