Medical condition of Pranab Mukherjee declined: Hospital

New Delhi/IBNS: The medical condition of ailing former President Pranab Mukherjee has declined, the hospital where he has been admitted has informed.

Army Research and Referral Hospital said in a medical bulletin, "There has been a decline in the medical condition of Honourable Shri Pranab Mukherjee as he has developed features of lung infection. He continues to be on ventilatory support and is currently being managed by a team of specialists."

The former President was admitted to the hospital a week ago and had to undergo an emergency life-saving brain surgery after discovery of a clot.

He had also tested positive for Covid-19.
