Minister updates Rajya Sabha about e-National Agriculture Market

| | Apr 07, 2017, at 09:23 pm
New Delhi, Apr 7 (IBNS): The centre's Minister of State for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Parshottam Rupala, said on Friday that so far 417 markets from 13 states have been integrated with e-National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) against the set target of 400 markets by March, 2017.

He was replying to a question in the Rajya Sabha.

The National Agriculture Market (NAM) is a pan-India electronic trading portal which networks the existing APMC mandis to create a unified national market for agricultural commodities.

The NAM portal provides a single window service for all APMC related information and services.

As per the approved e-NAM Scheme, 585 regulated mandis across the country are to be integrated with the portal by March, 2018, the minister said.
