Minor blast hits Hubballi railway station, one injured

Hubballi /IBNS: A low-intensity blast injured a man at Hubbali Railway Station in Karnataka, media reports said.

The blast took place when a man picked up a box lying in the railway station.

The injured have been hospitalized and the railway station has been cordoned off, police said.

According to police, the blast was a minor one.

An intensive search operation has been launched to check the presence of other explosives in the station, police added.

Hubballi railway station is a major junction headquartering the South Western Railway Zone.
