Minor boy electrocuted in Assam’s Karimganj

Guwahati, Jun 6 (IBNS): A minor boy was electrocuted and another got injured after coming in contact with a live electric wire in a pond in Assam’s Karimganj district on Thursday.

The incident took place at Sadhukuti village under Bazarcherra police station.

According to the reports, the 14-year-old boy came in connect with a live wire when he went for bath in a nearby pond.

The live electric wire reportedly fell down in the pond.

The minor boy, identified as Raju Suklabaidya, died on spot.

When another man named Ashim Suklabaidya noticed the incident, he tried to rescue the boy, but was also injured.

The injured person was admitted at a hospital at Bazarcherra.

“The boy was died after coming in contact with a live electric wire while he went to bath in a nearby pond. Another man was injured while he was trying to rescue the boy,” a local resident said.
