Missing police constable found dead in central Kashmir's Budgam

Srinagar/UNI: Body of a police constable, missing since Wednesday night, was found in the central Kashmir district of Budgam on Thursday morning.

A police official said that the constable, identified as Mohammad Ashraf, went missing after he left his residence in Magam in Budgam last night.

"The body of the constable with torture was found tied to a tree early on Thursday morning," he said.

He said a police team was rushed to the spot and the body has been taken away.

"Police have registered a case and initiated investigation to identify the people responsible for the killing," he added.
