Mission Kerala: Amit Shah to address BJP workers in Kerala

Trivandrum, Sep 1 (IBNS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah is slated to address a workers’ conference in Kerala on the concluding day of the state committee meeting on Monday, reports said.

The BJP chief is also likely to meet party leaders and attend a function with 6000 grass-root level party workers on Monday afternoon.

Shah’s visit is seen as preparation before the local body elections scheduled next year, billed as a semi-final ahead of the 2016 state Assembly elections. Sources said the party is also targeting to win a few seats in the 140-member Kerala Assembly.
