Modi attacks Election Commission in Asansol rally

| | May 04, 2014, at 07:23 pm
Asansol, West Bengal, May 4 (IBNS) Campaigning for Asansol candidate and Bollywood singer Babul Supriyo, BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Sunday attacked the Election Commission saying it should help conduct free and fair poll in West Bengal.
"We know what happened on April 30. There was rigging. The Election Commission must act neutrally and conduct fair polls. I bring serious allegation against them. This is not democracy and they should not think who appointed them," said Modi here in the industrial town.

He later attacked Mamata Banerjee again over scams and challenged her. After referring to Saradha scam in Bankura, he brought up the teachers' recruitment scam.

"See from the helicopter the gathering, Didi [Mamata Banerjee]. These tigers are royal and real. I urged political pundits to come and see the Asansol rally for correct political forecasting," said Modi urging voters to send Babul Supriyo to Parliament.

"I can only see heads. I was thinking why Didi abuses me all the day. I had this question in mind why she is so angry with me. Now I know it is your love for me. Her ground is shaking. This election will destroy all arrogance," said Modi.

He urged the voters to vote for BJP. "I want Babul in Parliament. Do this for me," he said.

Attacking Mamata Banerjee on teachers recruitment in West Bengal and alleging a scam there, he referred to a software in Gujarat for teachers' recruitment that keeps corruption away.

"Can you figure out everything in two minutes' interview? If you go for interview, there would be brokers. In Gujarat we have computer decide it all after screening of all candidates according to their inputs- be it general or Dalit or SC/ST or physically challenged, the system decides it," he said.

Modi appealed to the youths between 18 and 28 and said irrespective of parties and candidates if their five years in this crucial period is lost, everything will be lost for rest of the life and so they should vote for a strong government in New Delhi.
