Modi-Shah government stands exposed: Sonia Gandhi
New Delhi/IBNS: Congress chief Sonia Gandhi on Monday attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party government at the Centre over the Jan 5 attack in Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru University and said the country watched in 'horror' as the BJP 'orchestrated an assault' in the institution.
Attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Gandhi said both the leaders and their government have been 'exposed'.
She said the attack in JNU occurred just after what happened in Jamia, BHU, Allahabad University, AMU and other institutions of higher learning in the country.
Gandhi made the comments while speaking at the meeting of the opposition parties here.

"The Modi-Shah government stands exposed for its inability to govern and provide security to people,” she said attacking the PM and the Home Minister of the country.
"The Government has let loose reign of oppression, it is spreading hatred and trying to divide people along sectarian lines,"she said.
Gandhi further attacked the government and said Modi and Shah want to divert the country's attention from economic slowdown by raising one divisive issue after another.
The opposition meeting was not attended by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and BSP chief Mayawati.
The opposition leaders met on Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC) taking place on Monday.
Boycotting the meeting called by Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi, Mayawati tweeted, "Even after supporting the Rajasthan government, the Congress' act of defecting our party members is nothing short of betrayal."
"So attending the Congress' meeting will only demoralise the BSP leaders. So we will not be present in the meeting today," said the former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister.
Despite spearheading the anti-CAA, anti-National Register of Citizens (NRC) protests in West Bengal, Banerjee is skipping the meeting over the Left-Congress' "violence in the name of protests" during the Bharat Bandh on Jan 8.
