Modi's Marketing was good but the whole of India is seeking refund now: Rahul Gandhi

Nagaon, Assam, Mar 5 (IBNS) Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday mocked the Prime Minister and said that his marketing was good but the whole of India is demanding a refund now.

Gandhi was addressing a rally in Assam's Nagaon, ahead of state polls.

Attacking the PM on his MNREGA comment, Gandhi said that Modiji says that the MNREGA is useless, let him go to any village and ask the saarpanch (village head) about it and they will tell him how useful MNREGA is.

He said that the PM thinks that MNREGA is a mistake Congress made, and that is because he thinks that it is a mistake to help the poor.

Stating the BJP's electoral promise of providing everyone with 15 lakhs rupees, Gandhi said that he asked the Prime Minister when he is going to fulfill that promise. The Congress VP also mocking asked the crowd if anyone among them has received the promised amount.

Gandhi also targeted PM's Make in India campaign.

Poking fun at the logo, he asked the PM how many job opportunities were created by the Make in India Lion (the campaign logo).

Taking a straight jibe at PM Modi for his Parliament speech on Thursday, in which the Prime Minister attacked Rahul Gandhi for the lack of intellect, Gandhi said that the PM said something which he should not have said. But even if that was okay with him, he still did not get the answers to his questions.

Talking about the latest Union Budget, Gandhi said that it is customary of the Prime Minister to tax the hard working people, while the thieves and looters will not be taxed.

Gandhi said that the Congress will fight for the hardworking workers and salaried class of India.
