MP: Doctor has affair with driver's wife, cuts him, dissolves pieces in acid

Bhopal, Feb 6 (IBNS): A Madhya Pradesh doctor allegedly killed his driver, cut his body into over two dozen pieces and then put them in a drum filled with acid at his home to destroy all evidence, the police said on Wednesday.

The episode occurred in Hoshangabad and the doctor reportedly killed the driver as he had a relationship with his wife.

The doctor was reportedly caught red-handed when he was attempting to throw the body parts in a drum filled with acid.

Hoshangabad city superintendent of police Arvind Saxena told Hindustan Times, “The accused Dr Sunil Mantri (58), who lives in Anand Nagar, an upscale locality in  Hoshangabad, has confessed to killing his servant, Birendra alias Biru Pachauri (30).”

”It is possible, that Biru was extorting money from Mantri,” Saxena said, adding that Biru’s wife will be questioned in this regard.

Police said the doctor's wife and Birus wife used to run a boutique together at his Anand Nagar house since 2010.

After the death of the doctor's wife in 2017, Biru's wife continued running the boutique.

She even allegedly developed an illicit relationship with the doctor.

Police said Biru became suspicious about it and even threatened that he would expose the matter.
