New Delhi, Oct 25 (IBNS) : As the infighting in Uttar Pradesh's ruling Samajwadi Party gets tizzy, expelled leader Ram Gopal Yadav on Tuesday berated party chief Mulayam Singh, saying he was "jealous" of his son and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.

“Mulayam Singh is jealous of Akhilesh Yadav because he is more popular than him,” media reports quoted the former SP General Secretary as saying.

Ram Gopal is Mulayam Singh's younger brother, who has been in the camp of Akhilesh Yadav.

Coming down heavily on Mulyam Singh,Ram Gopal said the party supremo has been favouring Amar Singh, saying the statement he (Mulayam Singh) recently made is a 'nonsense.'

“Mulayam Singh's statement is nonsense, he should have thought before making such statement that Amar Singh saved him  from court and CBI.Did he mean that Amar Singh managed CBI,” Ram Gopal said.

He said there is "nothing" left of the  Samajwadi party without Akhilesh.

Commenting on the feud within the Yadav family that has badly shaken the party, Ram Gopal said, " According to a rule in economics, ‘fake currency’ lets ‘real currency’ out of market."

His statements comes a day after party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav chastised son  Akhilesh  at a meeting where
Shivpal Yadav, another brother of Mulayam, called Akhilesh a "liar".

Attacking  Ram Gopal, Shivpal also accused ”Ramgopal of misusing the the name of 'Netaji' and being pally with corrupt people.

"He betrayed us to save his son and daughter-in-law from a CBI case, he tried to tarnish party’s image," Shivpal had remarked about Ram Gopal, his brother.
