Mumbai police arrest Assam youth for threatening to kill an Indian cricketer

Guwahati, Aug 2 (IBNS) : Mumbai police arrested an Assam youth who threatened to kill an Indian team cricketer.

According to the reports, a team of Mumbai police’s Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) arrested the youth from Dharamtul area in central Assam’s Morigaon district on Tuesday with the help of Morigaon district police.

The youth was identified as Braja Mohan Das.

A top official of Morigaon police said that, Mumbai police arrested the youth following a complaint lodged by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

“The youth sent a mail to the BCCI and threatened to kill an Indian cricket team member. The BCCI had immediately informed the Mumbai police and they had contacted us to track the youth,” the police official said.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai police have taken him into their custody.
