Nagaland: 5 kg of brown sugar worth Rs 10 crore seized, three held
Dimapur/IBNS: The personnel of Narcotic Cell of Nagaland have arrested three people and seized 5 kg of brown sugar worth Rs 10 crore in Nagaland's Khuzama area.
According to the reports, based on secret information, Narcotic Cell PS personnel on Tuesday evening manning the Narcotic CheckPoint at Khuzama and detected and seized approximately 5 kg of brown sugar worth approximately Rs 10 crore in international market value from the possession of three persons who were traveling in a car.
The Narcotic Cell had arrested the persons and they were identified as Md. Mujafer Hussain, 25 yrs, S/o Md. Abdul Hakim, V/o Moijing Lamkhai, District Thoubal, Manipur, Md. Abdul Noor, 31 yrs, S/o Lt. Md. Abdul Lalif, V/o Moijing Lamkhai, Dist. Thoubal, Manipur and Robin Khan, 23 yrs, S/o Md. Jeheruddin, V/o Moijing Lamkhai, Dist. Thoubal, Manipur.
A vehicle bearing registration number AS01 BN 5761 (i20 Asta Silver colour) was also seized.
In this connection, a case was registered vide Narcotic Cell PS C/No. 13/2021 U/S 21(C)/ 60 NDPS Act and further investigation is in progress.
