Narendra Modi condoles Turkey attack

New Delhi, Jan 1 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday condoled the death of several people during an attack at a night club in Turkey, officials said.

He called the incident as 'barbaric'.

"Heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Turkey on the tragic loss of lives in Istanbul," Modi tweeted.

He said: "We strongly condemn the barbaric attack and stand by Turkey in this time of grief."

At least 39 people were killed, including 16 foreign nationals, and 40 others were injured during an attack at a nightclub in Turkish capital Istanbul on Sunday, media reports said.
