NCB SIT summons Aryan Khan after taking over Mumbai drugs-in-cruise case

Mumbai/IBNS: A Special Investigation Team of the NCB, which reached Mumbai on Saturday, has summoned Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan for interrogation in connection with the Mumbai drugs-in-cruise case for which he was arrested and is currently out on bail.

On November 5, five other cases, including a case related to Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik's son-in-law Sameer Khan, have been moved out of the NCB's Mumbai zone to the central zone.

The SIT team is also expected to record Sameer Khan's statement in connection with a drugs case.

Sameer Khan is currently out on bail. He was arrested by the NCB in January this year.

The SIT team is being led by senior IPS officer Sanjay Kumar Singh. He has started recording statements of the people linked with the six cases that the central team has taken over from the Mumbai NCB, reported India Today.

Singh told India Today that Aryan Khan was sent a summon on Saturday and asked to appear before the SIT on Sunday.

NDTV reported quoting a source that Aryan Khan "did not appear before the SIT officials citing fever."

However, on Friday, he had appeared visited the NCB office here to mark his weekly presence as per the bail conditions set by the Bombay High Court, the report added.

“We have started our investigation in the case,” said Sanjay Kumar Singh, the report added.

The senior IPS officer had been present at the NCB office since morning and left by afternoon, the report stated.

The NCB had arrested Aryan Khan and at least 19 others in the cruise drugs case last month. He was released on bail on October 30.
