Nearly 13 injured in shootout between two groups during RJD’s Bihar bandh

Patna/UNI: Nearly 13 people were injured during a shootout between two groups near Tonga Stand in Fulwarisharif during Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) sponsored Bihar bandh against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Record for Citizenship (NRC) here today.

According to police, the members of two groups fired at each other after a scuffle between them. Both the groups were trying to force bandh at Sangatpar locality in Fulwarisharif.

Nearly 13 people, reportedly, sustained bullet injuries. Of the injured, seven were admitted at Patna Medical College Hospital while two were rushed to the Nalanda Medical College Hospital.

Police resorted to mild lathi-charge to disperse the violent mob.

Senior Superintendent of Police  Garima Malik  and  District  Magistrate reached the spot to personally monitor the  situation.
