Never mock a loser in a democracy: Yashwant Sinha

| @indiablooms | May 24, 2019, at 05:33 pm

New Delhi, May 24 (IBNS):  Former BJP leader Yashwant Sinha on Friday posted a hidden message on his Twitter page and said a loser should not be 'mocked' in a democracy.

"Never mock a loser in a democracy. It always entails a heavy cost on the winner. The country has seen bigger electoral victories in the past but hubris has always led to defeat. So, be warned abusers," he tweeted.

Sinha, who is much vocal against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP government at the Centre, had served as the Union Finance Minister in Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led government.

Sinha posted his remark at a time when the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA registered a massive victory in the Lok Sabha polls for the second consecutive term.

Narendra Modi will take oath as the PM of the nation for the second term in the next few days.

BJP-led NDA  won 352 seats in the Lok Sabha Polls.

The Congress won 87.

Other parties won 103 seats.

India witnessed seven phased Lok Sabha polls this year.
