Shimla/UNI: New Congress government in Himachal Pradesh would implement the old pension scheme within ten days as the expansion of the council of ministers gets completed.

This decision was taken in Congress legislative party meeting convened at the state secretariat Monday.

Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu took charge as the chief minister of Himachal earlier in the day.

On reaching the Secretariat, the CM was given a guard of honour by a contingent of women police.

After taking over the office, Sukhu thanked the people of the state for making him reach the post of Chief Minister.

He said the Himachal government would aim to stop corruption and bring transparency soon to achieve the purpose.

The new CM said that he will take the government forward by learning from the experiences of all the senior leaders of the party and would fulfil all promises made by the Congress party during the election.
