Nirmala Sitharaman offers prayers to Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala

Tirumala: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman offered obeisance to Lord Venkateswara Swamy in Tirumala temple on Thursday during her two-day pilgrimage visit to the temple town of Tirupati.

She reached Tirupati on Wednesday. 

On her arrival at the temple today she was received by TTD Trust Board Chairman Y V Subba Reddy and Executive Officer A V Dharma Reddy at the temple.

She was later taken to the darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy.

After darshan, Sitharaman was offered 'Vedasirvachanam' in Ranganayakula Mandapam by Vedic pundits followed by the presentation of 'Theertha Prasadams' and a laminated photo of the Lord.

Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister B Rajendranath Reddy, Tirupati MP, Dr Gurumurthy and others were also present.

On Wednesday, the Union Finance Minister offered prayers at the Goddess Padmavati Ammavari temple in Tiruchanoor near Tirupati.
