Nitish calls RSS rumor spreading society at rally with Lalu
Launching his attack on the BJP, Nitish Kumar at the rally said the BJP's ideological patron RSS is known for spreading rumors.
"We are fighting against those who are rumour spreading society [alluding to RSS or Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh] and so I urge you all to work hard," said Nitish at the rally where he and Lalu Prasad sat separately but together got photographed at the end.
The two leaders, who parted ways twenty years ago, are campaigning together for the by-polls for 10 Assembly seats scheduled to be held on Aug 21.
On Aug 11, they held their first rally together and were seen hugging each other at the event.
Speaking at that rally, Nitish Kumar had attacked the BJP government at the Centre and said people of the country are still waiting for the 'good day' the ruling party had promised ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.
Yadav and Kumar have both served as Bihar Chief Minister.
The parties entered into a seat-sharing agreement along with the Congress in which both JD-U and RJD will contest in four seats each leaving two to the Congress in the state.
The by-elections in 10 assembly seats are being seen as the semi-finals with all eyes on the state polls scheduled next year.
The BJP criticised the move made by the two senior Bihar leaders and said it only reflected their 'lust for power'.
"It's the lust for power and threat of defeat have brought them together. Bihar is watching all these. This will unveil the real faces of the two leaders," BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy told media.
