No decision taken on dissolving assembly: Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao

| @indiablooms | Sep 02, 2018, at 09:23 pm

Hyderabad, Sept 2 (IBNS):  Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday said a decision on hosting early assembly polls in the state will be taken soon.

Rao did not make any announcement regarding the dissolution of the Assembly to go for early polls.

Polling in the state to elect a new Assembly is scheduled to be held next year.

As per schedule, the elections should happen along with the Lok Sabha polls.

Addressing a rally in the state, Rao said: "I will take an appropriate decision (on assembly polls) soon and come before you."

The CM also urged people of the state not to become  'slaves' of Delhi parties.

"Just like Tamil Nadu does not act enslaved to Delhi, similarly in Telangana too, we are going to rule ourselves with self-respect," he was quoted as saying by the media in the rally.

Sept 2 is the fourth anniversary of Telangana's formation.
