No reports of casualty of Indians in Paris terror attacks
CNN-IBN quotes India's Deputy Ambassador to France, Manish Prabhat, as saying : "So far there has been no report of any Indian casualty. We have kept the embassy phone lines open all through the night. Nobody called us seeking help. We hope that all Indians are safe."
Talking about the incident he said, "The French government is handling the situation. We are in touch with them. They have advised the people not to venture out. The roads don't have much traffic."
"We are also watching it on local TV channels. We don't know much about the operations."
He said that there are over one lakh Indians living in France and over half of them live in Paris. He said that "at any given point of time, there will be a lot of Indians in Paris including a large number of tourists. We hope that all are safe".
He also said that Indian embassy was in constant touch with the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi.
