Not joining the BJP: Praful Patel

| | May 10, 2014, at 08:25 pm
New Delhi, May 10 (IBNS) Union Minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Praful Patel on Saturday said he is not joining rival Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

"The reports are baseless and false. I am not joining the BJP. I was and still am with the NCP," said Patel.

Earlier, reports said Patel had opposed to the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government's decision to appoint a judge in BJP' prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi snooping case before May 16.

"The NCP feels it is not the right time for snoopgate appointment," Patel had told media.

Pertinently, NCP is a key ally of the UPA.
