Not received NCB summons, says Rakul Preet Singh in Drug Probe

Mumbai/IBNS: Indian actor Rakul Preet Singh has denied receiving any summons from the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with the drug probe initiated with the WhatsApp messages retrieved from the phone of Rhea Chakraborty, who is the prime accused in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.

Singh's team has denied receiving the summons either in Mumbai or Hyderabad.

Hence, the actor is likely not to appear before the probe agency.

Meanwhile, designer Simone Khambatta on Thursday arrived at the NCB office in connection with the same case.

Besides Singh and Khambatta, leading Hindi film actors Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor have also been summoned by the probe agency.

While Padukone has been summoned on Friday, Khan and Kapoor have been asked to appear before the NCB on Saturday.

The NCB has so far arrested at least a dozen people including Rajput's actor girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik, the late Bollywood star's household staff Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant.

NCB is the third central agency to join the probe into the death of Rajput, after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

The NCB got into action after the ED came across chats pertaining to drug consumption, procurement, usage and transportation in connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.

Rajput was found dead at his own flat in Mumbai's Bandra on Jun 14.
