Nursing students from Goa stranded in Karnataka, Kerala brought back

Panaji/UNI: As many as 60 nursing students from Goa who were stranded in Karnataka and 25 people stranded in Kerala due to national wide lockdown in the wake of COVID-19, were brought to Goa by five different buses on Thursday.

Upon arrival the 60 nursing students were directly referred to Azilo Hospital at Mapusa for screening of Corona Virus infection, thereafter they were taken to Peddem (Holding Area). They will be sent for 14 days home quarantine after they test negative.

The 25 people brought back from Karnataka and Kerala were taken to Hospicio Hospital, Madgaon, for screening of Corona Virus infection and thereafter taken to Colva Residency.They will be sent for 14 days home quarantine after they test negative.

The team led Officers of Interstate Movement Cell, initiated the efforts to bring the stranded safely. The entire situation was closely monitored by team members Paresh Rivonkar, Gauresh and Mahesh Pandit.
