Srinagar, Nov 8 (IBNS): Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday met Indian Interlocutor Dineshwar Sharma at his Gupkar based residence in Kashmir capital Srinagar.

Government of India has appointed Sharma to talk to all the stakeholders in Jammu and Kashmir and so far he has interacted with a number of lesser known apolitical groups.

Sources said that Sharma drove to the house of Omar Abdullah and interacted with him.

After the meeting Omar Abdullah took to twitter and wrote: “Mr Dineshawar Sharma & I met at my residence in Srinagar this morning. We discussed the prevailing situation in the state as also steps that can
be taken to make his visits to the state more meaningful.”

Talking to reporters after the meet, Abdullah said that Sharma called him and asked for suggestions on the job assigned to him.

He asked for my opinion on how to effectively go about the work assigned to him. I hope he will act on my suggestions,” said Abdullah.

He also said that sitting in a guesthouse and waiting for people to
come and meet him won’t yield results.
