Kolkata,Apr 23 (IBNS): Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday if the Congress-Left alliance comes to power in West Bengal then it will work to develop the state.

He said the government will also work to give employment to people.

"When our government will come to power then our first act will be to give employment to people and bring development in the state," Gandhi said.

He alleged that the Mamata Banerjee-led current West Bengal government has looted people of the state with the Saradha scam.

"The money was  looted from you in the form of Saradha Scam. Mamata Banerjee's people even took your money in front of the camera. We will investigate into the matter and return your money," Gandhi said.

Attacking the government in the state, Gandhi said people shifted outside as they know the government  cannot provide them with a job.

"Syndicate and Mafia rule is currently going on in the state," Gandhi said while addressing a rally in West Bengal.

Three phases of voting in the Assembly polls have taken place in West Bengal.
