Pakistan violates ceasefire in Balakote sector, India retaliates

Jammu/UNI: The Pakistan troops on Friday yet again violated the ceasefire by firing unprovoked along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Defence spokesman here said that at about 1130 hours, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with Small Arms and intense shelling with Mortars along LoC in Balakote sector of the District.

Indian Army retaliated befittingly, he said.

On Thursday night, Pakistan initiated an unprovoked ceasefire violation in Degwar and Malti sectors of Poonch.

As per RTI filed by Jammu based activist Raman Sharma, MHA replied that Pakistan in less than three years from 2018, have violated the ceasefire for over 8,500 times.
