PM Modi congratulates DRDO on successful test firing of Agni V

New Delhi, Dec 26 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated DRDO and its scientists on the successful test firing of Agni V.

“Successful test firing of Agni V makes every Indian very proud. It will add tremendous strength to our strategic defence.

The successful test firing of Agni V is the result of the hardwork of DRDO and its scientists. I congratulate them," the Prime Minister said.

Agni V is an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) with a striking range of over 5000 kilometres.

President Pranab Mukherjee who also congratulated DRDO on Monday, said, "Congratulations DRDO for successfully test firing Agni V. It will enhance our strategic and deterrence  capabilities."

Tweeted Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, "I congratulate @DRDO_India scientists for the successful test of Agni-V missile, and further strengthening India's defence capabilities."


Minister of State (I/C) for Power, Coal, New & Renewable Energy and Mines Piyush Goyal, Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje, Madya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and many others also congratulated DRDO for the successful launch.
