New Delhi/UNI: Extending his greetings to the Indian citizens on the occasion of 74th Republic Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday wished that the country moves forward in a united manner in order to make the dreams of freedom fighters come true.

The Prime Minister tweeted, "Many best wishes for the Republic Day. This time this occasion is also special because we are celebrating it during the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence.

"It is our wish that we move forward unitedly to make the dreams of the great freedom fighters of the country come true."

The country is celebrating its 74th Republic Day today.

On the occasion, as per tradition, a grand parade is being organized at the Kartavya Path. Aesthetically rich tableaux based on different themes will enthrall the audience during the parade.

Egypt's President Abdel Fattah Saeed Hussein Khalil el-Sisi is attending the Republic Day celebrations as the chief guest.
