Jammu/UNI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday morning reached the Naushera sector in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district to celebrate Diwali with the Indian army personnel.

The Prime Minister will be celebrating the festival of lights with the Indian soldiers in the forward areas of Naushera.

Earlier, he arrived at Technical Airport in Jammu after which he left for Naushera.

In 2019, the Prime Minister celebrated the festival with the jawans in the Rajouri district.

Top army commanders who are accompanying the Prime Minister will also brief him on security scenarios.

Chief of Army Staff General M M Naravane Wednesday arrived at Rajouri and visited the forward areas and reviewed the prevailing security situation along the border.

Notably, the counter-insurgency operation in the Bhatadurian forested area of Mendhar in Poonch has entered the 25th day on Thursday.
