Xiamen, Sep 5 (IBNS): Addressing the Dialogue of Emerging Market and Developing Countries at the BRICS Summit on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke in favour of "Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas" as India's development agenda, media reports said.

On the last day of the BRICS Summit, PM Modi urged the BRICS nations to "team up with the International Solar Alliance for mutual gains through solar energy utilisation of solar power and sun".

The PM said changes can only brought through proactive approaches and co-ordination.

The Indian Prime Minister did not miss a chance to highlight the issues of terrorism and climate change.

"We need coordinated action and cooperation in areas such as counter terrorism, cyber security, and disaster management." CNN News 18 quoted Modi.

"We need to work together to create a greener world and mitigate the menace of climate change" the PM added.

In an address to the BRICS Summit a day ago, PM Modi said:  "Our women’s empowerment programmes are productivity multipliers that mainstream women in nation building."

"We need to mainstream our youth in our joint initiatives; scaled up cooperation in skill development and exchange of best practices" Modi added.

The Prime Minister also scheduled met Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit, first time after the Doklam stand-off.

The PM on Tuesday even met his Chinese counterpart and made courteous verbal exchanges.

In a significant shift to the diplomatic relation, both India and China have agreed to disengage border personnel at Doklam in Sikkim border, said India's Ministry of External Affairs.

The Ministry of External Affairs of India said in a statement on last Monday that both the countries had communicated with each other regarding the Doklam issue in the last few weeks.

On Monday, the PM met Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday on  the sidelines of the ninth BRICS Summit in China.
