In Varanasi, PM Modi participated in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra today.

He took a walkthrough of the stalls and visited the Viksit Bharat Yatra Van and Quiz event.

The Prime Minister also interacted with beneficiaries of various government schemes and also addressed them on the occasion. During the program, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Oath was also administered.

Prime Minister Modi is set to launch and inaugurate 37 projects totalling over Rs 19,000 crore for Varanasi and Purvanchal during his two-day visit to Varanasi this year.

These projects span various sectors, including roads and bridges, health and education, police welfare, smart city and urban development projects, railways, and airports.

On the first day of his visit, PM Modi will inaugurate the second edition of Kashi Tamil Sangamam in the evening at Namo Ghat.

The event will include the flag-off of the Kashi Tamil Sangamam Express, which will operate between Kanyakumari and Varanasi.

The Kashi Tamil Sangamam, scheduled from December 17-31, will see the participation of 1,400 dignitaries from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, visiting Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Ayodhya, as per an official statement.
