PM Modi to visit Assam on Aug 1

Guwahati, July 29 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to visit the flood-hit north eastern Indian state on Aug 1.

On Saturday, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said PM Modi will visit to Assam on Aug 1 and he will take stock the flood situation in the state.

Prime Minister Office (PMO) has confirmed PM Modi’s visit and communicated with the Assam Chief Minister’s Office.

During his visit the Prime Minister will discuss matters incorporating all the aspects relating to the recent floods in Assam with the Chief Minister and various officials at Guwahati.

Modi is likely to take up the matters relating to flood management and protection.

PM Modi will also take stock of the damage caused by the floods.
