Poll date in Mizoram changed

| | Apr 08, 2014, at 11:05 pm
New Delhi, Apr 8 (IBNS) The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday informed that poll in the Mizoram (ST) Parliamentary Constituency (PC) will now be held on April 11 instead of April 9 as was scheduled earlier.

This change has been done following requests by the Government of Mizoram and the Electoral Officer, Mizoram on the ground that due to exigencies of law and order, it is not feasible to conduct poll in the Mizoram (ST) PC on April 9.

Poll in the Mizoram (ST) PC will now be held from 7 AM – 5 PM on Friday, April 11, 2014.
