President greets Iran on the eve of Nouroz day

New Delhi, Mar 20(IBNS) President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee on Friday extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the eve of the Nouroz day.

In his message to  Iran President  Hassan Rouhani, Mukheree has said, “On the joyous occasion of Nouroz, I am delighted to convey my warm greetings and best wishes to Your Excellency and to the people of Iran. "

"The close bilateral relations between India and Iran reflect the people-to-people links and historical-civilisational bonds between our two countries over centuries. We attach great importance to this relationship which is multi-faceted and mutually beneficial."

"Please accept, Excellency, our best wishes for your good health and well being as well as for the progress and prosperity for the people of Iran," he said.
