President Pranab Mukherjee to visit West Bengal tomorrow

Kolkata, May 17 (IBNS): President Pranab Mukherjee is coming to West Bengal on Thursday on a two-day visit, officials said.

He will be attending a few programmes during his stay at Raj Bhavan in Kolkata.

The President will inaugurate the Indian Institute of Liver and Digestive Sciences at Sonarpur on Thursday.

Later the President will receive first copy of the book ‘Metaphysics, Morals and Politics’ from the Prof Amal Kumar Mujhopadhyay, former Principal of Presidency College.

On Friday, the President will inaugurate the Integrated Renewable Energy Smart Micro Grid Centre and also lay the foundation stone of Rabindranath Tagore Academic Complex at Indian Institute of Engineering, Science & Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, Howrah.

Besides, Mukherjee will also present Dr Malati Allen Noble Award and will receive the first copy of books like ‘Jnan, Ajnan o Bigyan’ before leaving for New Delhi in the afternoon.
