Prime Minister Narendra Modi conferred with the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour
New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi was conferred with the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour, France's highest award, on Thursday by French President Emmanuel Macron.
"Prime Minister thanked President Macron for this singular honour on behalf of the people of India," read the Indian statement.

The award ceremony took place at the Elysee Palace in Paris.
Modi on Thursday arrived in Paris as part of his official two-day visit to France and to attend the Bastille Day celebrations.
