Prominent Kerala businessman arrested for allegedly raping house maid

Thiruvanthapuram, Jul 5 (IBNS): The Kerala police have arrested prominent businessman Rajmohan Pillai for allegedly raping his house maid, media reports said.

Rajmohan is the younger brother of Rajan Pillai, popularly known as ‘Biscuit Baron’, who died in Tihar jail in 1995 after he was arrested in a fraud case.

Pillai has been booked under Section 376 of IPC for rape. 

Rajmohan is a cashew exporter, who also runs manufacturing and marketing of packaged and processed food business.

The incident came to the fore when the 23-year-old woman from Odisha went to a private hospital in the city to get an abortion on being sent by Rajmohan.
