Punjab polls: Capt.Amarinder Singh wants to contest from Lambi

New Delhi, Jan 14 (IBNS): Senior Congress leader Capt.Amarinder Singh on Saturday said he wants to contest the polls from the Lambi seat in the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections.

The Punjab leader said he has asked the Congress high commande to allow him to fight from the seat.

He tweeted: "Have requested Congress high command to allow me to fight from Lambi so I can rid Punjab of the vicious and destructive rule of the Badals."

Punjab will vote to elect a new Assembly this year.

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal contests the polls from the seat.
