Rahul Gandhi takes jibe at PM Modi's 'common man' comment

New Delhi, Jan 22 (IBNS): Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Monday took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has recently called himself a "common man".

Referring to Modi's hugplomacy with world's top leaders, Rahul said on Twitter: "He who calls himself common, hugs only important people. What compulsions you have Modiji (PM Modi)? Farmers, labourers and young people should also be among those whom you embrace."

Rahul's sarcastic tweet came a day after the PM called himself a common man who is unaware of protocols while answering about his hugplomacy with important leaders.

Days ago, the Congress had created a meme video  which showed the Prime Minister hugging different world leaders.

The video has been posted on the official Twitter page of the Congress.

Posting the video, the Congress tweeted: "With Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu visiting India, we look forward to more hugs from PM Modi! #Hugplomacy."

The video has been posted by the Congress on a day when Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited India.

Modi welcomed him in the airport with a hug.
