Rahul Gandhi targets Piyush Goyal over business dealings, demands resignation

| @indiablooms | May 01, 2018, at 09:30 pm

New Delhi, May 1 (IBNS): Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday targeted Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal and alleged him to be involved in Rs 48 crore Flashnet scam.

Gandhi  said the scam is all about 'deceit, conflict of interest and greed'.

Gandhi also demanded Goyal's resignation. He used a hastag '#GoyalMustResign' in his tweet.

Gandhi, apart from the tweet, also posted an image of Goyal where he alleged that the Union Minister sold his stock of Flashnet Info Solutions to Piramal group, which has interests in the power sector, at 1,000 times the face value.

He said the incident occurred when Goyal was serving as the minister of state for power.

Goyal attacked Rahul Gandhi and his Congress and tweeted: "I am a law topper, CA 2nd rank all over India, professional Chartered Accountant & investment banker and therefore competent to give consultancy. BTW Mr @PChidambaram_IN who are the consultants in your son @KartiPC's consultancy?."

"Till 26th May 2014, before I became a Minister, I was a professional Chartered Accountant & investment banker. Unlike you, Mr @RahulGandhi, I have not learnt well the art of living without working. I am also a kaamdaar (worker) and not a naamdaar (dynast)," he said.
